Alright my gorgeous wise women, my grandmothers, my aunties, my elders, gather ‘round because we need to talk about this whole “starting over in 2025” thing.
And yes, I know… You’ve lived entire lifetimes already. You’ve raised families, built careers, survived heartbreaks, held communities together with your bare hands. You’ve retired, divorced, reinvented, released, rebuilt.
And now life is like: “Surprise! Time to CHANGE again!”
So let’s talk about it in the most magical, nature‑approved way possible: the cocoon and the chrysalis.
The Cocoon Phase The One You Build Yourself
The cocoon is the part where you say:
“Everyone leave me alone, I’m rebuilding my entire life and also drinking chai tea.”
It’s the phase where you:
-create boundaries like a boss
-let yourself rest for the first time in decades
-stop pretending you’re fine
-wrap yourself in softness
Moths spin cocoons from their own silk and that’s exactly what you’re doing.
You’re weaving safety. You’re weaving clarity. You’re weaving a new beginning with your own hands.
This isn’t hiding. This is holy restoration.
The Chrysalis Phase The One That Comes From Within
Now the chrysalis? That’s butterfly territory. And it’s WILD.
The chrysalis isn’t something you build it’s something you become.
It forms when you shed the last layer of your old identity:
-no longer “the wife”
-no longer “the employee”
-no longer “the caretaker of everyone else’s needs”
Inside the chrysalis, everything dissolves. Everything reorganizes. Everything transforms.
It’s messy It’s vulnerable It’s powerful
This is where you say:
“I don’t know who I’m becoming yet, but I know she’s going to be magnificent.”
Here’s the juicy part: 2025 is your emergence year.
Not the year you hustle. Not the year you prove anything. Not the year you shrink to make others comfortable.
It’s the year you:
-step out glowing
-claim your joy
-choose yourself
-build a life that feels like freedom
-let your wisdom lead the way
You’re not starting over. You’re starting from experience. From strength. From truth. From the deepest, most luminous part of yourself.
Your wings aren’t new they were just waiting for you to remember them.
A Love Note to Every Woman Beginning Again
If you’re divorced…I am, If you’re retired…I am, If you’re rebuilding…I am
If you’re stepping into a brand‑new chapter at 50, 60, 70's or beyond… like me
You are not late. You are not lost. You are not behind.
You are in your cocoon. You are in your chrysalis. You are in your becoming.
And when you rise oh my goodness the world will feel your wings.
